November 2011 Research Scientist at CNR-ISTM (National Research Council - Institute of Molecular Science and Technologies); field of research: Synthesis and characterization of organic, organometallic and coordination compounds for optoelectronic applications.

November 2010 - October 2011 Postdoctoral fellowship of the University of Milan - Department of Organic and Industrial Chemistry - research program "Strutture organiche innovative con funzioni specifiche per ottica non lineare, fotonica ed altre applicazioni"; supervisor Prof. Emanuela Licandro. Research target: Design, synthesis and characterization of novel polycyclic aromatic/heteroaromatic molecules for Solar Cell applications.

April 2008 - October 2010 Postdoctoral Research Associate at the University of Southern California - Dept. of Chemistry - (Los Angeles, CA, USA). Research supervisor: Prof. Mark Thompson; grant provided by the University of Milan, the "Universal Display Corporation" and the US Department of Energy. Research target: Synthesis, photophysical and electrical characterization of OLEDs based on phosphorescent Iridium(III)cyclometallated complexes.

2007-2009 Post-Doc fellowship of the University of Milan - Department of Organic and Industrial Chemistry - research program "Strutture organiche innovative con funzioni specifiche per ottica non lineare, fotonica ed altre applicazioni"; supervisor of Prof. Stefano Maiorana. November 2007 - June 2008, the project has been sponsored by Fondo Sociale Europeo, Regione Lombardia: Progetto Quadro d'Ateneo n. 415438 "Dall'Università all'Innovazione - Azioni integrate per il rilancio della competitività del sistema economico-sociale della Lombardia".
